Church use policy

RENTAL OF HOPE LUTHERAN Church FACILITIES

--as applied to private, non-Church sponsored functions--

RENTAL RULES

  1. Rentals are available to adult members of Hope Lutheran Church only, who must be present for the event.
  2. Church facilities may not be used by any “for profit” organization.
  3. Use of the Church facility (inside or outside) may not exceed 250 people for any given event.
  4. Absolutely NO SMOKING and NO CHEWING GUM in the Church building.
  5. Absolutely NO ALCOLHOLIC BEVERAGES allowed on Church property.
  6. No food or drink allowed outside of the fellowship halls.
  7. Children must have adult supervision at all times, and must remain in the specific area of the complex rented.
  8. No running or playing in hallway, narthex, or nave of Church.
  9. ANY AREA BEING USED SHOULD BE RETURNED TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION.
    1. Return tables and chairs to their proper places.
      1. Please note: the Fellowship Hall is normally “set up” with 10-12 tables with 8 chairs per table. If more tables or chairs are needed, you must contact the Church office prior to the day of the rental.
    2. Kitchen counters should be cleaned and equipment put away.
    3. Rugs should be vacuumed. Each level of the Church has a vacuum cleaner, main level vacuum cleaner is in the closet behind the Fellowship kitchen, and downstairs vacuum cleaner is in the basement storage room
    4. Garbage should be removed to trash container outside of building.
    5. Be certain all windows are closed before leaving building.
  10. The Church must be notified immediately of any damages. Leave a message at the Church office at 610-767-7203. Responsible parties are liable for any damages caused by their group, including that done in parts of the building other than the rental area.
  11. Arrangements for the rental of the Fellowship Hall, Hanson Hall or any classroom are made with the Church secretary and are subject to approval of Congregational Council.
  12. A deposit of $30.00 is charged to all parties. Upon proper clean up and inspection of facility (see #8) the $30.00 will be returned to the renter.

Hanson Hall *$50.00 for a max. of 4 hours; $100.00 for a max. of 8 hours
Classrooms$20.00 for a max. of 4 hours; $40.00 for a max. of 8 hours

* If food is prepared in our kitchen(s), the rental fees above are doubled.

A check for the rental fee can be made by personal check, payable to Hope Lutheran Church.

A separate check for the $30.00 payable to Hope Lutheran Church, will be returned providing the above rules are followed, please note: the deposit applies to all areas.

Coffee pot(s) and punch bowl(s) will be provided if needed. Please let the Church office know if any of these items are needed.
